Allergy awareness and auto-injector training for early years and primary schools
Having a child with food allergies in your care is a big responsibility. It can also be a huge worry for parents. The best way you can ensure you provide a safe environment for any child living with allergies is to educate staff. This course will help you do just that.
Course content:
You’ll learn how to recognise symptoms of allergic reactions, the different types of reaction, how to administer an auto-injector, tips for teachers, classroom processes, and mental health and wellbeing.
As an accredited ProTrainings centre, this course is fully recognised by HSE, CPD certified and endorsed through Skills for Care. All attendees receive a Vocational Training Qualification (VTQ) and certificate. The course also has the medical approval of Dr Jose Costa, lead for paediatric services at Nuffield hospitals.
We offer this course throughout the year as part of a teacher training day or as a twilight evening booking. We can also offer the session remotely via Zoom to fit with any COVID-19 restrictions. Course length is 2 hours. Minimum of 5 people, maximum of 20.
